Mr. Demirjian attended the University of California, Los Angeles, where he received his bachelor’s degree in History. He then attended Western State University College of Law. While at Western State, he was on Moot Court and the editorial board of the Law Review. After he earned his Juris Doctorate in 2010 and passed the bar examination the same year, he began his legal career at the Public Defender’s office in Kern County, where he represented indigent defendants in a wide variety of misdemeanor and felony matters. There he gained invaluable court experience including jury trials, with one acquittal.
Subsequently, he moved back to Los Angeles where he pursued workers’ compensation defense with a brief time in civil litigation defense dealing with personal injury and products liability matters. In workers’ compensation practice, he has worked as in-house counsel with a large carrier as well as at an outside firm where represented employers, insurance companies and third-party administrators in all facets of workers’ compensation litigation, including Labor Code section 132a claims. He now brings a wide range of experience and perspective to Colantoni, Collins, Marren, Phillips & Tulk, LLP.
