Douglas A. Burman graduated from Arizona State University with a Bachelor of Arts in History and a minor in Political Science. He then went on to earn his Juris Doctorate from Thomas Jefferson School of Law graduating magna cum laude. During Law school, Mr. Burman earned numerous academic achievements and honors including Witkin Awards for Academic Excellence in Criminal Law, Criminal Procedure, Civil Procedure, Legal Writing, Local Government Law, Secured Transactions and Torts. Before graduating, he also clerked with the San Diego Superior Court for the Honorable Steven R. Denton (Ret.).
Prior to joining CCMPT, Mr. Burman was In-House Counsel for a large National Company focusing on Worker’s Compensation defense. He has also worked as an associate at one of California’s largest Worker’s Compensation defense firms as well as an adjuster for a leading national carrier. Mr. Burman prides himself on using this experience to create a collaborative approach with his clients to aggressively defend claims with thorough exposure analyses and defense strategies to achieve the most cost beneficial outcomes.
When not working, Mr. Burman enjoys spending time with his wife and son, playing golf, cooking, and rooting for his native Seattle area sports teams.
