Mr. Goines obtained his Juris Doctorate from California Western School of Law in San Diego in April 2011 and was admitted to the California Bar in December 2011. He graduated from the University of California at Davis in 2007 and received a Bachelors of Arts in Political Science and a Bachelor of Arts in History. At U.C. Davis Mr. Goines was the captain of the Club Baseball team and spent a semester studying in Siena, Italy. During law school he worked for the San Diego Public Defenders Office as well as the California Innocence Project where he represented twelve inmates claiming factual innocence. He also interned at a Family/Corporate Law Firm in Menlo Park, CA.
Since being admitted to the California Bar in 2011, Mr. Goines has solely practiced workers compensation defense representing employers, insurers, and third party administrators. Before joining the firm, he spent four years practicing out of San Diego where he appeared at all twelve of the Southern California Boards.
Outside of practicing law, Mr. Goines is an avid traveler, enjoys live music, and continues to play baseball. He was born and raised in the Bay Area and is a passionate Giants and 49ers fan.
