Nolan McCready began his career at Colantoni, Collins, Marren, Phillips & Tulk LLP as a law clerk during his last year of law school. He obtained his Juris Doctor in May 2014 from the Chapman University Fowler School of Law. Mr. McCready’s legal career began prior to law school where he spent several years as a clerk at a large international law firm assisting corporations in environmental litigation matters. During law school he focused his studies on entertainment and sports law and was an intern at a small animation motion picture studio. He also served on the Executive Board of the Nexus Journal of Law & Policy while at Chapman as a Senior Notes & Comments editor, assisting the staff editors in researching and drafting their own scholarly articles. In his third year of law school, his student note titled “Former Student-Athletes’ Property and Due Process Rights: The NCAA as State Actor in the Wake of the Penn State Sanctions” was published in the Nexus Journal’s 2013-2014 volume.
Mr. McCready earned his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Penn State University in 2006, where he was a defensive back on the university’s football team. During his career he earned three varsity letters and was also a three-time Academic All-Big Ten Conference honoree, a two-time ESPN/CoSIDA Academic All-District honoree, and earned ESPN/CoSIDA Academic All-American honors his senior season.
Mr. McCready currently resides in south Orange County with his wife and two daughters, and enjoys spending time with his family, cooking, and staying fit.
