Managing Partner Los Angeles Office
Robert D. Tulk began his employment at Colantoni, Collins, Marren, Phillips, & Tulk as a law clerk during his last year at Whittier Law School. His career in law started by developing a civil practice for our firm before transitioning to exclusively handling workers’ compensation claims. Mr. Tulk was instrumental in developing defense strategies for our clients, and he personally litigated several key cases involving the issue of jurisdiction over out-of-state employers. He is currently the Managing Partner of the Los Angeles office in which he oversees several attorneys handling both sports and non-sports workers’ compensation claims.
Mr. Tulk attended the University of California-Davis where he majored in English and Political Science. He was also a four-year started on the school’s baseball team. UC Davis recognized Mr. Tulk’s contributions on the field by enshrining him in the UC Davis Athletic Hall of Fame in May 2013. Following his senior season at UC Davis, the Detroit Tigers selected Mr. Tulk in the 25th round of the 2004 Major League Baseball Draft.
Mr. Tulk currently resides in Los Angeles with his wife Jackie and their son Leo. He continues to support his law school by meeting with Whittier students and alumni to discuss job opportunities in the field of sports law. Mr. Tulk remains active in various organizations including the Los Angeles Bar Association, Sports Lawyers Association, and ABA.
